Tora Wessel

b. Stockholm, Sweden 1986


Tora Wessel was raised in the small coast town of Stromstad, Sweden & later moved to Gothenburg, & then California. Raised on art & writing courtesy of her two artist parents she began writing early on, & later ended up writing articles & conducting interviews for various Swedish publications, as well as being the editor of her own, Aorta Magazine, an art & "culture" zine. While working in a porn theatre in Sweden she got to know a number of unsavory characters, one of which, a speed freak, became the subject of her first documentary, "Missbrukare" ("Junkie"). When she was 19, she got into contact with Larry Wessel, & it wasn't soon before he came over to Sweden & snatched her back to the United States & married her!!! She is currently shooting an as of yet secret documentary that will be filled with mind blowing places & exciting people!
